The old name for The Critics' Choice Movie Awards was "Broadcast Film Critics Association Award". Also the phenomenon of choosing the best was also different, there written polls which were to be submitted in a ballot and this process continues for a week long after that, those results were counted and finally a winner was announced, but this was an old thing. Today if you are talking about any award ceremony of function that means, glamor, lights, beauty and etc. etc. Recently in 2k10 the word "movie" was added to the older name and since the names is "The Critics' Choice Movie Awards" from "The critics Choice awards".
