The Sochi Winter Olympics 2014

The Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 : The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics has begun on 6th of Feb 2014 just before the Rose Valentine's Day which occurs on 7th of Feb 2014. This day Men's teams completed the figure skating both individual and in pairs and teams. After which these were followed by free style skating again individual and in pairs. Men's Slope style Qualification was passed after the snowboard freestyle skating was done in an unusual manner. Next day which is today 7th Feb 2014 "The Opening Ceremony" will held at Sochi, Russia 11:am according to Eastern Standard Time and 8:00pm according to Russian Time. Officially the program will is running on this schedule : Feb 7, 2014 – Feb 23, 2014.

Liga BBVA

Liga BBVA : La Liga is the first division of the LigaNacional de Futbol Professional it is the English version of this name. Liga BBVA is the official name of this division. It is the foremost professional football league of the Spanish Football League System. In this league 20 teams participate. It has three lowest teams that are relegated to the Segunda Division and then it is replaced by the two teams in that division plus one of the winners of the playoff. Champions League

Champions League is the simple name for UEFA Champions League. It is an annual continental club competition that is organized by the Union of European Football Association from 1992.  It replaced the European Champion Club that was running from 1955 onwards and added a group stage to the competition that allowed multiple entrants from a particular county. It falls among one of the most prestigious tournaments of the country and also at the same very time it is one among the most prestigious club competitions in the European Football. The finals of the 2012-2013 turned out to be the most watched UEFA Champion League. This enumerates its popularity quite easily.

Prior to the year 1992, this competition was officially called the European Championships Clubs Cup. Initially it was a straight knockout tournament that was open only for the champions club of each country participating. Till the time it reached the year 1990, the format of the league was expanded to incorporate a round-robin group stage and entitling more teams. For the time being the Europe’s strongest national league provides up to four teams in the competition and will give the provision of five teams from the year 2015-2016 onwards.

According to the present format of this league, its season begins from the month of July that begins with three knock out rounds and a playoff round. The ten teams that survive these rounds become eligible to enter the group stage joining the other 22 teams that had qualified in advance. Eight groups are created out of these 32 teams with four teams in each group. The eight group winners and the eight runners up proceed than for the next rounds and culminated in the finals that takes place in the month of May. The winner of this league qualifies for the UEFA Football Cup and FIFA cup. If we track down the competition history of this league then we will come to know that the Real Madrid is the most successful club out of all the clubs that participate in this league.

It had won the tournament for nine times out of which five times include the very first seasons. Spanish club has been entitled with the highest number of victories scoring 13 titles, being followed by England and Italy. This competition has been won by 22 different clubs and 12 of them had won it more than once. From the time the league had changed its structure and criteria, no club had managed out to have consecutive wins.

WORLD CUP

World Cup : World Cup, it is commonly known as FIFA World Cup. FIFA World Cup is an International association of football organization that quite well settles in the hearts of the whole of the world. In this competition the senior men’s national team of the member of FIFA. This championship started in the year 1930 and from that time onwards it is conducted after every four years except the years 1942 and 1946. At that very time it was not held because of the Second World War. This championship takes place for about a month. There had been 19 World Cup tournaments that have been won by eight different national teams. Brazil is one such team that had won this title for five times and at the same very time it is the only team that had played in every tournament. The first International match of football was a challenge match that was played between Scotland and England in the year 1872 in Glasgow. This match was a draw as it ended at 0-0. But the first International tournament, which is the inaugural of the British Home Championship, took place in the year 1884.

From the beginning of the 20th century Football grew as quite an interesting and the most loved sports of the nation and hence it was held as a demonstration sport. Firstly the tournament was expanded to 28 teams in the year 1982 and then it was again expanded to 32 teams in the year 1998. For 16 years it was captured into the 28 teams only and them the format was changed. In the year 1998 teams like Africa, Asia and North America were also able to take part in it. From that time onwards team from these regions have enjoyed more success from as compared with any other region. Most of the nations that participate in this tournament are from Europe and South America, with a small majority of North America, Africa, Asia and Ocean.

Major League Soccer : The professional soccer league that is represented by the highest level of the sports authority is named as Major League Soccer. It is conducted both in the United Stated and Canada and has its headquarters in the New York City. It is one of the major professional sports leagues of the United States as well as Canada. Major League Soccer which is also termed as MLS in short is one of the most viewed league in both the countries and hence have a great fan following. Moreover it is also having a great and diverse impact on some other countries as well. According to the format of the league it is composed of 19 teams out of which 16 are in the United States and the rest 3 are in Canada. The season of this league runs from March to September, allowing each team to play 34 games in the regular season and then the winner of this league is awarded the supporters shield.

After the first season of MLS is suffering a decline in the attendance and this took a long time in regenerating. 1993 was that auspicious year when the Major League Soccer was founded. That time it was inaugurated as a part of the United States as it became successful to bid the host of the 1994 FIFA world cup. The first season of MLS took place in the year 1996 that began with ten teams. The unique thing about MLS is that instead of operating under a federation or a constitution each team of MLS is being governed by the entity of the league’s investigators. There are few soccer leagues in the world that don’t use any promotion or relegation and MLS is one among them because of its closed membership. There is no particular format of this league, the thing that is determined in it is that the season will run from March to December and 19 teams are going to play 34 games, but these matches are going to be conducted in an unbalanced format. There is a division of teams on the basis of Eastern and Western conferences. During the mid of the season there is a team break for the selection of the All-Star Game, that is played between the finest player of the leagues And a club of majors from the different leagues. PREMIER LEAGUE

Premier League : The English Professional league for the men’s association football club is termed as the Premier League. It is the primary football competition of the country that is enumerated on the top of the English Football League System. 20 clubs are contested in it and also it operates on the system of promotion and relegation in association with the football league. Rather than English clubs that are allowed to play in it there are some other well known Welsh Clubs that are also entitled to participate in it. League 1

League 1 : The very famous French Premium League for the association of the football club is known as Le Championnat or Division 1, but it is renowned more as League 1. The picture of the thing might have become really clear after listening about League 1, I am quite sure about this thing. it is one of the most famous or you can say that the primary competition for the country that is associated to soccer’s. League one is one out of the two divisions of League De Football Professional, and the League 2 is the second division of it. League 1 or you can say the entire championship is one of the most waited championships for the entire country.

The season in which League 1 takes away all the priorities of the people country wide is from August to May. In each season 380 games are played and 38 teams participate in it. Most of the matches of the entire league are played on Sundays and Saturdays. No doubt few games are also played on the weekdays but almost all the matches’ takes place on the weekends. League 1 had been currently ranked on the 6th number in the national leagues and is also is one of the most prominent among them. 

League 1 started on 11th September 1932, earlier it was known as National before getting the name of Division 1. After 1 year of its existence it got its name as Division 1, this name lasted till 2002 and then it got its current name, League 1. The current championship that is in the voyage is Paris Saint-Germain, they won the third title in the history of their records in the year 2012-2013.

Before 1930, French Football was not at all in existence. In July 1930 the French Football association got its reconciliation and was credited to the professionalism. There were some rules that were asked to be amended when it was taken to professionalism. In the beginning 20 teams were inserted in the play in the group of two that is 10 teams each. The first final of this tournament was held on 14th May 1933. The football league was suspended for a while and the reason for this thing was World War II. At the time there were 10 teams in League 1, during the course of the season that continues from August to May, each club gets the chance to play twice, once in their home stadium and once in the stadium of the others. All in all 38 games are played in total.

Serie A : Serie A is a professional league competition that is held in the football clubs that is located on the top of the Italian Football league system. This thing is active for more than eighty years. Its first season was held in the year 1929-1930. We can have a good estimate of it till then. Till 2010 it was organized by the Lega Calcio. The Lega series A was created for the session of 2010-2011. Series A is also regarded as one of the best and precious league of football in the entire world. The highest number of European Cup finalist has been produced by the Series A league. According to the Urfa’s league coefficient Series A have been denominated on the 4th rank among the European Leagues.
